GENETIC COUNSELOR
myGENetiks genetic counselors provide video-counseling to our clients who undergo exome sequencing and / or other genetic tests. The Genetic Counselor will work in conjunction with other specialists, helping families understand their diagnoses and treatment alternatives, as well as provide the necessary support. This is a great opportunity to work on a flexible schedule.
Genetic Counselor
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide genetic counseling in-person, by phone, or by video conference
- Collaborate with the team of specialists and scientists in the advanced interpretation of sequencing variants
MINIMUM RATINGS:
- Degree in genetics or an accredited research training program; preferably with a Master’s or Doctorate
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to clearly explain medical and genetic information, both verbally and in written form
- Experience with video-advice

GENETICIST
myGENetiks is looking for geneticists to assist our clients, either in the office, by phone, or by videoconference. The geneticist will work with other specialists to help families understand their diagnoses and treatment alternatives, as well as to create a clinical action plan. Medical Geneticist
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Evaluate, identify, and treat possible hereditary diseases
- Provide advice and support to family and patients
- Collaborate with a team of specialists and scientists in the advanced interpretation of sequencing variants
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Medicine with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a geneticist
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to clearly explain medical and genetic information, both verbal and written

ASSOCIATED BIOINFORMATICIAN
myGENetiks is looking for bioinformatics personnel to develop algorithms, statistical methods, and software to analyze genomic data sets on a large scale and implement these methods to identify new targets and mechanisms of the disease. You will also develop innovative methods that will serve as the basis for drug development models. The Associated Bioinformatician will work in conjunction with other specialists. This is a great opportunity to work on a flexible schedule.
Associated Bioinformatician
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Design, develop and operate computational algorithms for the analysis of New Generation sequencing data (NGS)
- Manage and archive large datasets of sequencing experiments
- Collaborate with the team of specialists and scientists in the advanced interpretation of sequence variants
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in biology, mathematics, physics or computer science with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in computational analysis; preferably with a Master’s or Doctorate
- Experience with scientific computer software (UNIX, R, etc.)
- Experience in one of the following fields: Genetics, Genomics, Statistics, or algorithm development
- Preferably with experience in the analysis of genomic data, such as exome / genome sequencing, micro-arrays or RNA-seq is a plus.
- Ability to translate high-level data processing and analysis into concrete tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
